Lumpini Boxing Arena in Bangkok quickly became one of our most thrilling outings in this competition. As the smell of tiger balm/sportscream permeated the arena, we were suddenly immersed in something that was obviously very near and dear to the Thai people. The arena was literally a breathing entity of boxing energy contrasted with nods to Buddhist prayer before and after each match. The clarinet led band playing ringside was curiously silent between rounds which is a stark contrast to boxing in the West. The passion and intensity of the event created an adrenaline charged activity for anyone slightly interested in boxing.  All we can say is wow!
