   We are planning on heading to Koh Samui in August 2010 with our six-year old son. Would like to be near the beach/restaurants/shopping and it looks like Chewang might be the place to be? Would the Centara Grand be the best hotel to stay in?

   We have stayed at the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort once with our children.

   They loved it, and so did we.

   The markets/restaurants and bars are all outside the hotel on the road.

   The hotel is right on the beach (I think all the hotels on Chaweng beach are).

   There are 2 pools, 1 big main pool near the beachfront and a smaller pool with a swimup bar in the middle of the hotel grounds.

   I dont know if it has a kids club though as we didn't use this, but I think the best hotel on Chaweng beach for anyone who visited here.

   Have fun Koh Samui is really fantastic.
